Complimentary experiments

No two journeys of transformation are alike. That's why we encourage you to experiment.

It's one of the best ways to see whether a concept, framework, or way of seeing is actually effective for where you are in your own unique path.

how to run experiments

A quick guide

1. Keep an open heart and mind. Don’t have any preconceived notions of how it’s going to land.

2. Keep your skepticism. Skepticism is a great part of running experiments, but hold your skepticism until after the experiment is over.

3. A full-body sport. Let the experiments be not just a thought process, but an embodied experience. See how different activities land in your emotional and nervous system.

4. Enjoy yourself!

Experiment 1

Practice doing emotional inquiry

We all have emotions we'd rather not feel. And most of us have gotten pretty good at avoiding them. Emotional Inquiry is a practice that gently reverses that pattern. Rather than pushing feelings aside or trying to fix them, you learn to explore them with the open, wondering attention of a small child. It's a simple shift, but a surprisingly powerful one: regular practice can soften self-judgment, loosen bad habits, and make it easier to show up honestly in your relationships.

Experiment 2

Investigate your money beliefs

The beliefs we carry about money tend to run quietly in the background, shaping our decisions without us ever noticing. This experiment brings them into the light. By writing them down and exploring how they show up in your life, you create the first opening to relate to money in an entirely different way.

1. List

On a piece of paper complete the following sentences twice:

Money is bad because ______
Money is hard because ______
I don't like money because ______

2. Free write

Then, for 20 minutes, Free Write on how you use these beliefs to keep money out of your life.

3. Watch "3 reasons you are poor"

Discover the three patterns in people who stay stuck: limiting beliefs about money, work that doesn't align with who they are, and a self-image built around not having enough.

Experiment 3

Test out your relationship to pleasure

Most of us spend our lives chasing pleasure or subconsciously pushing it away. Both are versions of the same thing: being scared to let life fully land. This guided meditation is an invitation to stop managing your experience and start actually feeling it, all while expanding your nervous system capacity.
